Hello,
When converting to VRML, animated
cameras in 3D Studio MAX are realized by
using PositionInterpolator. In VRML,
the first viewpoint (a camera) found is
activated (bound) when you load a scene
into VRML browser. If the first
viewpoint in the VRML file is animated,
this initiates camera moving. To prevent
from the camera to move, add a static
viewpoint at the beginning of the VRML
file. For example,

DEF static Viewpoint {
position -15.5 -7.04 15.2
orientation 0 1 0 0.2
fieldOfView 0.6024
description "static"
}

Surely you can add a static viewpoint in
3D Studio, then save animated camera by
using the Save Selected command, delete
animated camera, and finaly add animated
camera with the Merge command. Then
export to VRML97.
