Subject: Corrupt file?
Sender: Waldmeister_ii@gmx.de 7.04.05 11:17

Dear all.

I have some .wrl files, which seem to be corrupt in some way, i.e. when I load these file in VRMLPad, it works fine, when I open these files with Cortona, it works fine, too, BUT when I try to open these files with my texteditor (MS Editor, Programmers Notepad, Eclipse), I just get a bunch of weird characters, no VRML at all!

Does anyone have an idea what exactly the problem is? Is the character encoding corrupt, could it be, that the files were created on another OS so that the encoding can't be read by Windows, etc...? Any hint is highly appreciated!

Greetings,

Norman
