Subject:
fundamental problem

I'm having a problem building a
very basic scene. I've got
three "primitives" (ifs'
actually) generated by ISB, no
background node, just the ifs.
The hierarch looks like this:
boxGroup
cylinerGroup
coneGroup
What I'm trying to do is click
on the cylinder or cone to
trigger an animation. This
animation would gradually make
the cylinder more transparent.
I can open the file and save it
as an object and expose the
transparency of the cylinder.
When I insert this object into
a scene, I no longer have the
ability to put a touchsensor on
the cylinder, just the entire
object.
If I import the scene and put a
touchsensor on the cylinder
first, then I can't expose the
transparency when I try and
make an ISA object.
This is a simple example of one
problem I'm running into with
large indexed face sets and
complex animations.
Here is a link to the basic
scene.

Thank you for your advice.
