Subject:
DirectX rendering support on Win2k 8MB ATI video
Sender:

I always get this message:
"Current graphics renderer name:
Concorde DX5
Hardware acceleration is impossible
, code: 1
Switching to software renderer"
The video adapter is an ATI 3D Rage Pro
AGP 2X and it is integrapted into the
motherboard. The drivers are the latest
available for the chips and are made to
work with Windows 2000 - the operating
system I am using. I have DirectX 9 and
hardware acceleration is enabled
according to "DirectX Diagnostics".
My only guess is that Cortona doesn't
like the fact that the video has only
8MB of memory. Could this be a
problem? Any other thoughts? (I have
tried all other renderers and options
without achieving h/w acceleration.)
The machine is a 500MHz PIII, Intel
JN440BX motherboard, 256MB of PC100 RAM.
Thanks for any input.
