Subject: IrishSpace: Worse rendering compared with Cosmo?
Sender: mreddy@glam.ac.uk 26.06.01 04:02

Hi,

I was looking at The Irish Space Project in CosmoPlayer for
netscape 4.7 and wanted to compare it with IE5 and Cortona.
This set of worlds relies on Java for a fair bit of fuctionality,
and breaks Cortona in all but the rendering of MPEG (which
the mac beta of Cosmo never implemented). Might be a
good site for your testers to look at for checking functionality:

That aside, the colours for the start of each are amazingly
different and, IMO, better rendered in Cosmo! Especially the
Sun at the beginning chapter, which shines in Cosmo but is
muddy orange in Cortona. It is "optimised for CosmoPlayer"
but generally, I have found Cortona looks 'nicer' for most
models. Any idea why the difference?
