Subject: Inline Node Problem
Sender: wkalpani@gmail.com 27.02.06 04:35

Hi,
I wanna created a 3D hall and put some objects inside to the hall. I created all the objects and the hall using 3D max and exported those as VRML files. I inlined all the files. But when placing the objects inside the hall its really difficult to findout the x,y,z co-ordinated.(tanslations).and i inlined the same object inside the hall,but those objects are different sizes,even though i didnt scale the size. I inlined all the nodes as follows.May be the way i inlined those are the problem.

Group{
children[
#----------------- Table --------------------------------
DEF hall Transform {
translation -5.0 -3.0 0.0
rotation 1.0 0.260 0.0 0.568
children Inline { url "Hall2.wrl" }
},

DEF tableSet1 Group {
children [
DEF table1 Transform {
translation -17.5 -9.1 -6.5
children Inline { url "newChairs.wrl" }
},

DEF decor1 Transform {
translation -17.9 -12.8 -6.9
children Inline { url "Candle.wrl" }
},
]
}

DEF tableSet2 Group{
children [
DEF table2 Transform {
translation -15.3 -7.8 -11.2
children Inline { url "newChairs.wrl" }
}
]
}

DEF tableSet3 Group{
children [
DEF table3 Transform {
translation -17.5 -6.8 -15.5
children Inline { url "newChairs.wrl" }
}
]
}

DEF tableSet4 Group{
children [
DEF table4 Transform {
translation -10.0 -6.8 -13.0
children Inline {url "newChairs.wrl" }
}
]
}
]
}
]
}

Can any one pls go through this and let me know the problem with this. And i wanna give a virtual walk through inside the hall.When walking inside the hall all the objects are also moving here and there. Can u pls suggest a way to solve all these problems.
Thnx..

Kalpa...
