Subject: Re: IE 7 and .wrl files

Tia,

Check if the Cortona activex control is disabled in IE. In Tools > options > programs > manage add-ons
When I try to open a .wrl file using IE 7, I just get a Javascript error (Invalid Character). It seems that IE doesn't know that Cortona should be used to render the file and is treating it like an HTML file. This was not the case in previous versions of IE.
I know Cortona is installed and working because if I use the EMBED tag to view the same .wrl file it renders correctly. Also, if I do an Open With Firefox, it works fine.

Is there some setting in IE 7 that I'm missing to enable this sort of behavior?

TIA
