Subject:
GPS input for Pocket Cortona

Hi. I should start with the caveat that I'm new to Cortona development.
I am developing an application that is aimed at linking navigation in the virtual and real worlds. I want to create an application on pocket PC that takes a GPS input (probably NMEA sentence via a serial port), and uses this to control the observer location in a VRML world. The VRML scene will represent the actual landscape (buildings, surface terrain etc) that the user is moving through in the real world. So movement in real and virtual worlds will be linked.
Has anyone got any experience on how to do this? Would Cortona SDK or VRMLPad be the better development environment. My preferred language is java, but could work with VB or C++. Any resources that anyone could suggest, greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Dave
