Subject: Re: remove nodes from scene - Impossible?
Sender: dan.vera@gmail.com 12.07.07 10:44

Hello Again,

Problem solved. Apparently, the engine was refreshing very slowly (had to wait at least 10 sec between each step of the operations).

the reason was that a declaration of a proto used within another proto had to be put in the file the Cortona.Engine is pointing at ... cant see any reasons why it has to, but it works now.

Cheers

Dan

Hello,
I am using SDK and VB to call a VRML script node function which code Add/Removes a DEF named node from a transform children.

However, when i call this script to remove a node, the node is not removed from the Cortona.Engine.Nodes collection (although the node disappear visually), which means that i cannot add again a node with the same DEF name. (Note that i can remove and add a node with the same name if i am doing the operation using VRML/script only.

two possible solution to this problem:

1 - ensure the cortona scene consistency (i tried the refresh function but it does not make any difference)

2 - remove the node that the VRML script removes, from the cortona engine nodes collection, but the Engine.Nodes collection is read only.

Is there any ways to remove a node from the Engine.Nodes collection?

thanks in advance

Daniel Vera
