If I understand you correclty, you want to jump to the "geometry" viewpoint by click on that geometry?

The solution may be this. Create a pair of idential viewpoints for each geometry you want to jump to. You don't need to unbind previously bound viewpoint, just bind the second viewpoint. It can be done by the script selecting an unbound viewpoint.
