Subject: Solution for Vista/COM "Attempted to read or w.." Sender: dan.vera@gmail.com 9.12.08 20:55 I had a problem with a project that worked fine on XP and failed on vista with the following error message: "Attempted to read or write protected memory" etc etc I found a solution that worked for me which consists in disabling the DEP (Data Execution Prevention) features on Vista: - Open a command prompt as Administrator - type: bcdedit.exe/set {current} nx AlwaysOff - reboot Hope this will be helpfull to some.
